Our Firm’s Data Protection Policy changes

In view of the changes in legislation and in our actual data management, Tivadar Law Firm's Data Protection Policy will be amended as of 1 September 2023.

In particular, we would like to highlight that the Firm will no longer send newsletters and will use cookies, which are different from the previous ones, but still anonymised and therefore do not involve personal data processing.

Legal requirements concerning telephone assistance services

The significance of telephone assistance may be upgraded based on the lessons learned from the recent epidemiological emergency. Companies operating telephone assistance service have to meet both consumer protection and data protection requirements. Until August this year, the Hungarian Consumer Protection Authority will be continuously monitoring whether the consumer assistance services are operated in accordance with the law.

The GDPR Omnibus Act

Nearly one year after the GDPR became applicable in Hungary, the Hungarian Parliament adopted the so-called GDPR Omnibus Act (hereinafter: “Omnibus Act”) which includes the data protection related amendments of several sectoral laws. The Omnibus Act became effective on 26 April 2019.
