Our Firm’s Data Protection Policy changes

In view of the changes in legislation and in our actual data management, Tivadar Law Firm's Data Protection Policy will be amended as of 1 September 2023.

In particular, we would like to highlight that the Firm will no longer send newsletters and will use cookies, which are different from the previous ones, but still anonymised and therefore do not involve personal data processing.

Novelties regarding fines for consumer protection law breaches

New provisions on consumer protection sanctions enter into force on 28 May 2022. It seems that the Hungarian authority will, in certain cases, be authorised to impose unlimited fines, sometimes even set on an uncertain basis. Will the legislator correct this situation until the effective date?
